About Us

carlton | werremeyer (CW) offers a broad range of special event experience.  Through various planning services, CW helps evaluate an organization’s current event approach, clarify goals and improve efficiency to maximize results.  With over 17 years of expertise and serving some of St. Louis’ premier not-for-profits, CW has helped raise over $5,000,000 since 2004 and has worked with almost 35 organizations. CW manages every detail for stellar parties, which range from 20-750 guests, themes run the gamut from Samba to Alice in Wonderland, and the results have received rave reviews.  We usually start working on an event eight months out and manage the timelines, committees, budget, correspondence, graphic identity, vendors and more.   CW is highly regarded in their ability to develop creative approaches to ensure the client’s goals are achieved.  By building permanent changes into an organization’s structure, CW helps clients establish and build on a foundation to achieve continual success.  We do all this and we still manage to laugh along the way!

                                       

In 2004, Susan Werremeyer created carlton | werremeyer with former business partner, Colleen Carlton. Susan previously worked with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and was the Director of Development and Communications for the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. The St. Louis Business Journal selected Susan as one of their "40 Under 40" for 2009. 

Susan is the Past Board President of Food Outreach, a non-profit organization that provides nutritional support to men, women and children living with cancer and HIV/AIDS.  Susan serves on the Nomination Committee for the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis.
